A cannabis smoker has been let off by a judge after his story reminded him of one he had seen in Coronation Street.
Disabled Izzy Armstrong has turned to marijuana for pain relief in the hit ITV soap.
Sean Alex Langshaw, from Huddersfield, admitted using the drug to relieve his chronic arthritis.
Part-time judge, recorder Paul Isaac, at Leeds Crown Court, said he had been watching the similar storyline on television.
Police seized cannabis and 12 immature plants growing in a top-floor room at Langshaw’s home on November 19 last year.
When he was interviewed Langshaw told police the drug was for his own personal consumption, reports the Examiner.
