Police officer dismissed after bouncer found him taking MDMA in city centre nightclub

A police officer has been dismissed after a bouncer found him taking class A drug MDMA in a city centre nightclub.

Thames Valley constable Ryan Sproat was dismissed without notice following a two-day hearing yesterday.

The officer, who was based at Loddon Valley station in Berkshire, was found to have breached the standards of professional behaviour pertaining to discreditable conduct.

This was in relation to an incident on January 13, 2015, in which a doorman at Tiger Tiger nightclub in Portsmouth, found him taking what was later found to be a class A drug.
