BRITISH boys and girls are increasingly falling prey to slavery gangs, police warn.
They are sold for sex or being exploited for work on farms, the National Crime Agency says.
Britons are the third largest group of those in slavery in the UK, with a 70 per cent jump in cases last year.
NCA director Will Kerr said: “Sometimes there is a belief it only affects foreign nationals.
“But there are just as many British victims and offenders.
“We have found it in every medium and large town and city in the UK.”
The NCA believes tens of thousands of victims are being exploited in the UK by people traffickers.
