New charges filed against piano teacher
BLOOMINGTON — A total of 24 new charges were filed Wednesday against Aaron Parlier, a Pekin man who worked as a local piano teacher, accusing him of child pornography, sexual abuse and predatory criminal sexual assault of five minors.
Parlier faces 38 sex charges — including 13 charges related to three former students — filed in February. A total of six alleged victims accused Parlier of sexual misconduct. The 24 indictments returned by a McLean County grand jury Wednesday includes 14 child pornography counts involving five children, a single count of criminal sexual abuse and nine counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of one child. The minors were identified by their initials. Parlier remains in jail on $1 million bond, meaning he must post $100,035 to be released.
