Two rapists and a ‘dark web’ drugs gang kingpin jailed by Derby courts in March

A rapist who attacked a woman in Derby 14 years ago and was snared when he left his DNA on a bottle at another sex attack was one of a number of people to be locked up by Derby’s courts in March.

A young drugs gang who bought cannabis on the so-called “dark web” was also dealt with by a judge in Derby during the month, with the gang’s kingpin jailed.

Chaddesden rapist Philip Cunningham was snared when DNA left on a beer bottle from one assault matched him to a similar sex attack 14 years earlier.
