A convicted sex offender who rode his moped while 10 times over the cocaine limit was caught in possession of cannabis he intended to sell, a judge heard today.
Despite the offending on December 28 last year Benjamin Baldwin, 26, of Parkend Road, Gloucester, walked free from court today – even though he was in breach of a suspended sentence for grooming a teenage girl.
Prosecutor Anjali Gohill told Recorder James Watson QC at Gloucester Crown Court that Baldwin was spotted riding the moped by police on Tredworth Road, in Gloucester, at about 9pm.
He had a rear light defect so they followed him as he turned onto Stroud Road.
When he got off his bike outside an address in Stroud Road, the officers noticed he was carrying a small bag, Ms Gohill said.
