Governor Cuomo Suddenly Wants to Hear How New Yorkers Feel About Pot

After a disastrous debate on Wednesday with rival candidate Cynthia Nixon, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced yesterday that a series of 15 separate statewide listening sessions on regulated marijuana will be held in September and October.

Cuomo was staunchly against legalizing marijuana until Nixon entered the political arena. Cuomo suddenly entertaining or feigning interest in considering the idea of legalizing adult use marijuana is seen by some as a cynical, unmasked attempt to undermine his political opponent.
