The online Hamilton cannabis survey is up and running. Have you taken it yet? I took it three times. I didn’t do that with nefarious intent, but to see if there were any controls on double, triple, quadruple or more inputs from the same person. There weren’t. Now, an argument could be made that anyone who makes the effort to game the system so diligently deserves every count in their favour, knowing of course, that others are doing the same and their efforts could cancel your efforts, so no big deal. But I have to ask, is there an algorithm to discount the probability of multiple responses from the same person? I’m all for consultation, but how can council trust the results of a survey so easily gamed?
