The Lakeland Police Department’s Nuisance Abatement Board has seized two properties it deemed to be public nuisances because of drug activity at both residences.

LAKELAND — The city of Lakeland’s Nuisance Abatement Board has seized two properties it deemed to be public nuisances because of drug activity at both residences.

The properties are an apartment at 1012 N. Texas Ave. and a home at 315 Emma St. They have been or will be boarded up Wednesday by Lakeland Police and will remain so for one year. Several members of the Lakeland Police Department will be present to discuss the abatement process and answer questions. Between both properties, there were a total of 13 arrests, with an arrest history of 132 felony charges and 140 misdemeanors.
