October mediation looms in church bankruptcy case to settle clergy sex abuse claims


Lawyers for 200-plus Guam clergy sex abuse claimants and the Archdiocese of Agana are jointly asking the court to direct an October mediation in the church’s bankruptcy case, and to appoint U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert J. Faris of Honolulu as mediator.

The parties eye the mediation to take place Oct. 30-31 on Guam.
