A quick-thinking member of the public who filmed a “dangerous” sexual assault suspect fleeing the scene of an attack was pivotal in securing his conviction.
Mentesnot Cheru, 29, has subsequently been jailed for committing terrifying sexual attacks against two women in London.
He was identified thanks to witness Joshua Donka, 20, who was passing in his car and caught Cheru on camera following the first assault.
A month later, Mr Donka spotted Cheru again before following him to his home and calling police.
He was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison, with an extra three years on extended licence.
